Trip The Light Fantastic

Chinastyle combine an awesome melody and a heavy groove for their debut, ‘Trip The Light Fantastic’. Stomping drums and massive bass underpin some rather nifty guitars and occasional electro-additions subtly add depth to the track.

On top of the killer melody, the chorus is reinforced with strong harmonies and the entire song combines the intricate construction of The Police with the power and warmth of some proper rock.

The acoustic remix is a nice opportunity to show off the vocals with guitar and string sections floating things along.

There are few bands that could boast such a strong debut, but this is a band made up of already-successful musicians that have tours and albums in their arsenal of experience. Not so much a surprise – more a pleasing culmination.

‘Trip The Light Fantastic’ is out on 28th April. Check it out!
