The Kamikazees
Is This What We Want EP

Formerly known as Losthenfound, The Kamikazees are the heavier (and more in tune) version of their previous selves. In fact, the transformation isn’t quite as superficial as that.

Take Joe Strummer add him to Jake Burns, then supply the Mike Durnst and Tre Cool rhythm section and you have the Clashesque songs, Stiff Little Fingers vocals, and Green Day beats that make up The Kamikazees.

‘Don’t Involve Me’ almost takes the biscuit on this record, but ‘Soldier’ sneaks in beneath the defences to claim the accolades as the best track and, while it doesn’t tread new territory in the world of lyrical war references, it’s still a good track.

There is still some work for The Kamikazees to do, but they’re certainly starting to head in the right direction.
