Enjoy Destroy
LBJ

Most bands make a song ‘epic’ by making it far too long, far too slow and far too much of a tribute to stadium bands of the past. Enjoy Destroy have achieved something genuinely epic in just a couple of minutes by injecting so much power into the song that it’s grown a second set of balls.

A massive chorus and astute lyrics contribute to this fantastic track and Enjoy Destroy pick up the anti-war protest chants with a force that may have convinced Johnston to pull out of Vietnam. Whether this is a suggestive reference to the current state of politics on the other side of the pond is anyone’s guess, but there’s a genuine and informed feel to the lyric that suggests they really mean them.

This song finds me in the presence of greatness, although I’d suggest they avoid popping the roof down, should they find themselves two cars ahead in the motorcade.
