Lasse Gjertsen - Ameteur

Lasse Gjertsen
Amateur

Now, I know this is a music magazine, but Lasse Gjertsen is not a musician. Well, he can’t play drums or piano (the two instruments that feature in this track) – but whether or not he’s a musician isn’t quite as certain.

The bottom line is, ‘Amateur’ is a completely viable piece of music with a great beat and a great melody. On top of that, it’s actually incredibly hooky and, as a song, could easily be stamped onto a plastic disk and sold to millions.

And that’s not all – the home-recorded video that demonstrates how things are made has the quality and novelty of the OK GO treadmills video.

If you think I’m gushing over this track then go check it out for yourself – it’s the one genuinely experimental instrumental track I can honestly say I love.
