The Random - Tonight

The Random
Tonight

Halfway between Blondie and Northern Uproar, The Random keep things simple for their single, ‘Tonight’, which also borrows a large chunk of its melody from Green Day’s ‘Time of Your Life’.

I never really worked out where Northern Uproar went wrong. I loved the thick and soupy rock sound they had. But perhaps The Random can succeed where they narrowly missed the mark.

Upbeat, gritt,y and very hooky – it may lack a little in the originality department – but it isn’t a bad effort.
