Cassyette - Boom

Boom

Dropping just in time for her UK and European tour, ‘Boom’ is a frantic and explosive track from Cassyette that I think fans are gonna love.

The verse swims along on a fizzling guitar motif. The vocals are a low whisper all the way up to the pre-chorus. The angsty scale gets topped out at this point, accompanied by thick audio stabs.

I am dynamite watch me go!

The chorus is rhythmic and industrial, a heavy vehicle for a giant swirling pit… and the song might just be these well-wrought elements. Except there’s more. Like clouds breaking and throwing down a majestic spear of sunlight, the middle eight is rich and melodic. A truly epic swerve that makes this song even better.

If you aren’t already one of the degenerettes, Cassyette will appeal to you if you’re into crossovers like Sophie Powers or Poppy – rock music with no boundaries.

Watch Cassyette – Boom.

Boom Lyrics

Sometimes I sink into another skin
I go somewhere else
Somewhere upside down
Up the wrong way round
My inhibitions fall away
High hyperdrive

I think I’m on the edge
I think I’m gonna blow
I am dynamite. Watch me go!

(Boom) Boom!
(Boom)
(Boom) Boom!
(Boom)
(Boom) Boom! Boom!
(Boom)
(Boom) Boom!
(Boom)

I fall into the next level
Heightened. Eyes so wide
Look at myself in the mirror
I never looked so alive (alive)

I am dynamite. Watch me go!

(Boom)…

Fire, fire in me
It burns it all clean it all clean
Fire, fire in me
It burns it all clean make me clean
Fire, fire in me
It burns it all clean it all clean
Fire fire in me
Fire, fire in me

(Boom)…
