Some satisfyingly crunched-up guitars supply the main hook in this stomping rocker, which has an impressive intro.
To a certain extent October All Over have a sound that’s not dissimilar to Thirst, but with a voice more shredded than a popular wheat-based breakfast cereal. This works in terms of generating an angsty edge to the track but it does create a lack of belonging between the gritty vocal and the melodic music.
It’s as if Jimmy Eat World have agreed to play backup band to Corey Taylor and I’m not convinced it’s worked entirely.
