Tony Cannam - Everybody's High

Tony Cannam
Everybody’s High EP

Tony Cannam has drawn comparisons to Paul Weller, though I’d say the vocal has a more gritty character. Nevertheless, the mod-father reference should be seen as the highest of compliments. On this EP, though, expect a catchy subdued groove.

‘I Just Can’t Fool Myself’ is like a heavier version of the Scissor Sisters and sticks out as my favourite song on this record. However, ‘It’s So Heavy Now’ is nipping at its heels in a close second place.

This record has mellow groovy beats, striking electric guitars, and soothing tunes. It’s a great collection of songs to chill out to and enjoy a good old boogie. Tony has managed to create a catchy, subdued groove throughout his material that supplies a refreshingly modern take on the classic Britrock style.

Everybody’s High is an outstanding EP that has been produced to high standards. Tony Cannam is a soulful artist who I look forward to hearing more from in the future.
