Eat Lead

Brighton are the suppliers once again with the quirky My Device. ‘Eat Lead’ is polluted fifties rock and roll, with sudden interventions from unexplainable noises. It really shouldn’t be any good to distort things like this, but it’s actually got a flow that seems impossible from such a chaotic mixture.

Maybe it’s that natty bass sound or the gnashing vocal that hold it all together – or maybe they’ve stumbled across the formula for creating something shiny from some nasty-looking mineral deposits?

The second track, ‘Slamming Doors’, isn’t quite the genius invention of ‘Eat Lead’, but replaces the uninhibited creativity with a more aggressive attitude.

My Device now have the unenviable task of matching this single for quality in their live performances and in their next release!
