Billy Traxler - Disarray

Billy Traxler
Disarray

If you’ve been reading our humble pages for a long time, you’ll already know of Billy Traxler from his time with The Motorpool. We loved that band and Smiffy made everyone listen to their records. So, what’s Billy doing two decades later?

Well, there are elements I recognise immediately. There’s a melodic indie vibe, a quick yet relaxed pace, and that vocal, which brings all the memories flooding back. The acoustic guitar whips along with a simple rhythm section, with extra interest added by a lead guitar that kicks around the edges and just a tiny bit of Hammond organ.

There is no control
Just disorder
Complete confusion
Complication

Disarray

It’s in the ballpark of power pop and indie. A bright song about chaos. Love it.
