Beabadoobee - Glue Song

Beabadoobee
Glue Song

It’s not often you hit play on a song and immediately imagine it being performed alongside the legendary Jools Holland on his Later With… show. However, the wonderfully warm woody shuffle that is ‘Glue Song’ conjures precisely this picture.

This is a love song through and through, with the theme of being stuck together… like you’re glued. If you thought the glue reference was heading elsewhere, help is available.

The key dimension of this record, which is responsible for making it successful, is the sway in the music. It’s difficult to compose an ensemble song without making it either sterile or a mess. Finding that expert-casual swing is hard work.

Asides from how musically great the song is, Beabadoobee’s vocal matches the tone of the song, warm and sweet.

Altogether a very enjoyable song.
