Stand Atlantic - Sex On The Beach

Sex On The Beach

Jump to...

Stand Atlantic mix a sultry verse with a big fuzzy chorus in their new single ‘Sex On The Beach’. Can I get a ‘hell yeah?’

The song fizzes into life like an old radio tuner – and that’s actually a good metaphor for the song. The first verse comes from a different wavelength, before a switch up into fuzz-rock. The post-chorus is like a stomping Kasabian moment, and the middle eight is a chaotic heavy movement into a really stomping reprise. The song switches stations back and forth, creating angles and contrast.

Stand Atlantic have never settled for giving us the same old thing, but they always deliver quality.

The band are hitting the UK with Waterparks this month, so get over to their tour page to catch them live.

Sex On The Beach Lyrics

Tie me to the train track
Kerosene, light a match,
I don’t wanna know why your kissing my ass

Everybody out here tryna be famous
Couldn’t give a fuck what your name is, shameless
Only wanna leave with the ones that I came with
With the ones that I came with

These under city creatures
Candy on their claws
Love you till they don’t
Just leave me alone
Yeah

I came all the way down here
To talk to myself
Don’t talk anymore
I’ve heard it before

Can i get a-

Sex on the beach
Sipping suicide
I wanna kill your vibe
Hell yeah
Can I get a hell yeah
Can’t read the room
Just to save my life
Next time I’ll stay inside
Hell yeah
Can I get a hell yeah

Maybe I’m a scrap heap
Got a little envy
How you actin proud with that foot in your mouth?

Venom drippin’ onto my tongue off the guestlist
Wonder why I even wanna taste it, hate this
It’s like I wore a bee suit dying in the snakepit
Dying in the snakepit

These under city creatures
Candy on their claws
Love you till they don’t
Just leave me alone
Yeah

I came all the way down here
To talk to myself
Don’t talk anymore
I’ve heard it before

Can I get a-

Sex on the beach
Sipping suicide
I wanna kill your vibe
Hell yeah
Can I get a hell yeah
Can’t read the room
Just to save my life
Next time I’ll stay inside
Hell yeah
Can I get a hell yeah
