One More Night

Slowing down the beat a little, Cartographer deliver a track with a big atmosphere in ‘One More Night’. The signature elements are all there, but there’s a hint of something more doomy.

That suits the lyrics, which are about being hooked on a bad relationship. The punchy intro breaks into a swirling verse, with the guitar rhythm driving back for the chorus. Overall, things are spacious and melodic – a punchy emo song to add to an already impressive collection.

Cartographer have nailed a unique sound, definitely pumped with metal elements, but delivered through songs that will sound great to listeners outside of the metal sphere.

The band will be heading out on tour soon, so hopefully they’ll land somewhere near you soon.

One More Night Lyrics

I’d rather be alone
Than feel it all again
When I open up it ends in suffering
Picking up the phone
Dragged me into this
Desolate blinders keep letting you in
Letting you in

No control
Be with me more night
You’re no good for me
Why does it feel so right

The strings attached keep coming back
An intoxicating connection
Why I don’t I know I’m better than that
Better than that

No control
Be with me more night
You’re no good for me
Why does it feel so right

Broken heart
In disguise of being fate
Just one more day
because it feels so right
Let’s not pretend that I was ever yours
I never was
You’re not the first to make me feel this way

We let this go on far too long
What have we done
Can’t take it back

No control
Be with me more night
You’re no good for me
Why does it feel so right

Broken heart
In disguise of being fate
Just one more day
because it feels so right
