Ash - Jump In The Line

Jump In The Line

Jump to...

It doesn’t really matter what music you’re into, you’ll know the 50s calypso hit ‘Jump In The Line’, possibly from Harry Belafonte’s version. If not originally, then from it’s appearance in Paddington.

The Ash version came about after they used the song as outro music on tour. It manifests like a Ramones track with a pace and energy that harks back to Ash’s debut album, 1977. You can add your own ‘hey-ho, let’s go’ additions and it totally works.

The video features a demonic possession, an epic chainsaw vs flying-v battle, and repeated decapitations. It will make you think twice before uttering the incantation KLAATU VERATA NOODLES (editor’s translation, ALIEN GOAT NOODLES).

This is a fun track. There’s no news yet on whether this is a signal of a new album, so keep an eye out for more.
