The Blackout
Hard Slammin’

Championing the cause of screamo and wearing their tears proudly on their fists, The Blackout are one of those Welsh bands with a sound, slickness and even accents that would have you place them in LA rather than Merthyr Tydfil.

The two tracks on this record easily justifies the acquisition of support slots with thoroughbred stablemates, Lost Prophets, supplying anthemic skater-metal in the form of ‘Hard Slammin” and something more tingly in the emo-twinkler ‘High Tide’.

They are a tad late; the timetable suggests this bus left the station a good few years back, but The Blackout do nail it really well.
