Rocket - R is for Rocket

Rocket
Act Like Your Title

Jump to...

There’s a hazy late summer feeling that some songs manage to capture, where the vibe of the song is preserved through all the small decisions made along the way. ‘Act Like Your Title’ is a canonical example of this, bringing all those feels into a perfect couple of minutes.

Fuzzy bass leads the way, with the drums filling us straight into the first verse. Here we have the warm sparkle of the guitar and the softness of the vocal. The chorus has a big lift, the voice heads up, the sound thickens up, but the relaxed feel is perfectly preserved.

There’s no middle-eight or bridge, the song only just pushes past the two-minute line, but that makes it a perfect moment with nothing over-played. It gives the gift then it’s gone. Just like those memories it conjures.

The song comes from the band’s debut, R Is For Rocket, which is out in all formats (including red vinyl) on 3rd October, 2025.

Act Like Your Title Lyrics

I’m pretty sure I’m righting my wrongs
Answering questions like I don’t know what’s wrong
And did you know I’m accident prone
You wouldn’t believe that I did it alone

How I know it’s too far (know it’s too far)
Is I’m not the only one (I’m not the only one)
With wide eyes, act like your title (act like your title)
Release the denial, I’m better off then

It doesn’t feel easier now
I’m crossing my fingers you’ll take your final bow
And when you stop to think it all out
Release your regrets I’m doing better without

How I know it’s too far (know it’s too far)
Is I’m not the only one (I’m not the only one)
With wide eyes, act like your title (act like your title)
Release the denial, I’m better off then
