The Carletons are a band on the rise, with a dark and edgy sound that’s got echoes of early Hard-Fi, but with a more rock-tinged sound.
‘Out Of Your Control’ leads the charge on this record with a big anthemic chant, but ‘On To A Winner’ is undoubtedly the best song on offer. In any case, it’s got that required grit to supply the believability.
This record shows a lot of promise.
