The Disappointments
No Charades
The Disappointments punch out three raw punk songs with seemingly political lyrics matched with wired fuzzy guitars and some fast drumming.
Each song lasts just a couple of minutes with a brief blistering solo and just a hint of a hook amongst the crunching chords and angsty melodies. The chord progression of ‘Strike a Bow’, the outro of ‘Not for Sales’ and most of the melodies are the highs with the stark similarity of all the songs providing the only real low.
For a punk record, there’s plenty of credibility despite this band’s diminutive collective age.
