Nil Durden
Heads or Tails

Nil Durden plays a kind of rock and roll that draws from years and years of quality English and American music. You’ve got smoking riffs alongside acoustic pluckery, stomp lined up against shine and four songs that smoulder like hot coals.

Each of the four songs has a different angle on Nil’s sound, whether it’s the stomping riffs of ‘Findaway’ that make you want to get up and shake or the chilled-out rock ballad ‘Just To Kiss You Goodnight’, which makes you feel like laying back while you breathe in the emotion.

‘Nothing Right Lately’ takes the indie-chord smothered sound of Pavement’s ‘Summer Babe’ and adds a bit of magnificent rock into the mix to create a steady burner and ‘Dreams and Dimes’ lets the acoustic guitar and bongo’s lead the way.

This is an exceptional EP from a proper song writer and Nil has made all the right choices when selecting the musicians to accompany him on this fine record.
