Until I Wake
Inside My Head

They had me with the moody intro, but Until I Wake’s ‘Inside My Head’ bursts into flickering brilliance with lots of shifts from subdued melancholy to giant loudrage.

When they turn everything up to ten, it’s a wall of buzzing guitars and huge drums, but they can do intricate stuff too, as they prove throughout the song. What I really love from this song, though, is the pure and raw emotion. It’s up there with Redefine and Amen in terms of converting the feels into sonic form.

Despite the intensity, this is a seriously melodic track. It fizzes and fries around the edges, but they certainly know what they’re cooking. It’s a cinematic blast with a video that’s like a windowlight portrait.

This song has definitely endeared this band to my ears and I’m looking forward to hearing more.
