Cartographer take it slow and emotional in ‘Neon Waterfalls’. By keeping the pace down they guarantee an epic sound.

This is further enhanced by the weighty instrumentation and ever shifting beat. The intro is massive, like a mammoth bouncing down a hill. It breaks wide open for the verse, building sparkle through the guitars until it’s ready to deliver the chorus.

The middle eight brings a couple of musical themes that add interest to an already brimming song. The outro just lets it all disintegrate in a few last echoes.

Cartographer deliver an intricate sound that has a mix of heaviness and melody. It works every time.

Neon Waterfalls Lyrics

Time bent in
Into days and weeks
I’ve always longed to have a sense of being
Living but I’m not alive
Wonder how the story ends
I close my eyes and I wake up

Tearing out the pages
I’m starting over to find myself

I’m alive
And so disconnected
Feeling misdirected
There’s gotta be more than this
All I can feel within
Is crawling under the skin
Pouring out like neon waterfalls

I can let go now

What is it like to start again
I was never holding on
Rearrange avoid the pain
We don’t want to stay the same
Why are we afraid of change?

Tearing out the pages
I’m starting over to find myself

I’m alive
And so disconnected
Feeling misdirected
There’s gotta be more than this
All I can feel within
Is crawling under the skin
Pouring out like neon waterfalls

(Middle eight)

I’m alive
And so disconnected
Feeling misdirected
There’s gotta be more than this
All I can feel within
Is crawling under the skin
Pouring out like neon waterfalls

Tearing out the pages
I’m starting over to find myself
