For Those Lost
This Is Our Fight EP

The third world war has been dragging on for a few years and the enemy is now deciding on how to deal with its prisoners. Unfortunately for you, if you’re listening to For Those Lost you are among them.

The hall you sit in is large, its ceiling high and the floor rises like a theatre. It’s tonight that you have been selected, among hundreds of others, to begin the torture. It’s the calm before the storm that really sets the mood. An eerie blend of explosions, sirens and ghostly synths grip the crowd’s concentration. And so it begins.

The drums pounce from nowhere and the prisoners are now force fed the sounds of a new hardcore metal band. Some are unsure how to cope with the mixture of screaming and guitars, its ferocity forcing some to try and cover there ears.

The first among the captured are trying to escape, break free from their chains. Held to their position they begin to lose all sanity in their desperate attempt to rid themselves of the music. The guards now growing a smile at the terror etching across their faces. Still, a large percentage of captives are able to concentrate on the ability to maintain sanity.

As the record continues, pockets of prisoners are beginning to fall to the brash sound of For Those Lost. Having not heard the band’s influences such as Mastodon or Eden Maine, their ears aren’t able to cope with the fierce guitars.

For ultimate effect the guards raise the level, trying to finish of those that can withstand the barrage of screaming anger. But what they might have forgotten is that among the people losing sanity are teenagers wearing Slayer t-shirts. They listen to the album with not only a smile on their face but with a nod of the head. For them, it seems to have the opposite effect. Their anger now brewing up inside, willing them to break free and riot.

With a disregard for all authority each and every one of them is now pushed by the music to tear away the bindings that hold them. They go unnoticed among the crowd of insane adults and group up. Now as a unit they demand retribution from the guards. A retribution that sends them into a frenzied attack, taking down each sentinel in a swift but effective assault.

The music stops and the crowd are now in a state of shock. Most are old or reaching the stage in your life where sitting on a Sunday afternoon watching Heartbeat sounds like a good idea. But with the alternative kids of today opting for a more aggressive break from society For Those Lost will certainly help them get away.
