Useless Souvenirs
This really is something a bit different. It’s a driving rock track that has the guitar sound, pace and occasional harmonies of a Jimmy Eat World number, but on top of that ‘Useless Souvenirs’ has a spiky aggressive side that gives the whole song a bit of a kick.
It can still pull out an ace delicate moment too, which makes the angsty bits even more powerful. The best bit of the song is the excellent way the chorus scans, doubling the vocal up as both a melodic and rhythmic element to the song.
If you like Jimmy Eat World, Redefine, Rise Against or even a bit of Linkin Park, Age are really going to float your boat.
