With some solid festival appearances over the summer, HotWax are back and they bring a thick and fuzzy indie disco track with ‘Tell Me Everything’s Alright’.

A couple of bars of underwater disconnectedness and then we’re in to the bass fuzz and the pumping early beat. We power along to the chorus and we get a sixteen-beat, the bass groove, and the big hook. The second verse is more assertive than the first, and the chorus seems to expand like a wondrous bubble with each rendition.

Everyone who knows me knows I’m a sucker for overlapping lyric sections (who can forget ‘Salamander’, right!) Well, HotWax hit go on the last chorus and give us a section of lyrical dueling that really does the business.

Encore, HotWax. Encore.

Tell me Everything’s Alright Lyrics

We won’t measure time
Let’s not measure time
Now it rains in our city
Now it changes every day to a different place

The sky’s like
Heaven it’s so high
So take my hand
And tell me everything’s alright

It’s one time
To break into the light
Just take my hand
And tell me everything’s alright

It’s one time
To break into the light
Just take my hand
And tell me everything’s alright

We just had to strive
A moment with the night
Take our hearts out down electric
Take our hearts out bleeding for a moment more

The sky’s like
Heaven it’s so high
So take my hand
And tell me everything’s alright

It’s one time
To break into the light
Just take my hand
And tell me everything’s alright

It’s one time
To break into the light
Just take my hand
And tell me everything’s alright

This was a cold kiss
I’m sick of how it makes me hate
I can’t hear you but I feel you radiate

It’s one time
To break into the light
Just take my hand
And tell me everything’s alright

It’s one time
To break into the light
Just take my hand
And tell me everything’s alright
