Delays - Come Alive

Delays
Come Alive

The first musical offering since Greg passed last September, ‘Come Alive (Wired to the Moon)’ is another release of what the band calls a rough demo, accompanied by a skyward looking video.

A synth beat and warm guitar line provide the introduction, to which the vocal is added for a full verse before the other instruments join. The song continues as a classic Delays track, it’s a sun-licked hazy evening vibe with added string textures.

From all the rough demos, ‘Come Alive’ is the most classically Delaysy song. Though it is sad to have lost a warm and genuine human, it is also the best thing to hear Greg’s unique voice once more. We’re all here for Delays, the rough demos and lockdown tracks have been trickling out over the past couple of years and we’d love to hear more.
